According to official sources, Aditya Dhar’s film “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” is filled with excessive violence and political propaganda. The film is a sequel to the December 2025 film “Dhurandhar.”
The first part had a strong storyline, but the second part lacks substance. Ranveer Singh’s character, Jeskirat Singh, is portrayed as a vengeful man.
Violence is displayed early in the film, weakening the narrative. Pakistani politics, which was a major part of the first part, is now reduced to a minor point. The film focuses on Narendra Modi’s rise to Prime Minister and the 2016 demonetization.
The film attempts to portray the demonetization as a cover-up. R. Madhavan plays Ajay Sanyal, who portrays National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
The film also mentions Dawood Ibrahim and India’s relations with Israel. Akki Khanna’s character, who was the main villain in the first part, has been removed from the film, leaving a void in the story.
The background score is also not as effective as in the first part. The film features more violence, bloodshed, and political messages.
